University of Wisconsin plans collaborative programs for stem cell work

The University of Wisconsin plans to establish a regenerative medicine program and a postdoctoral research program focusing on cell-replacement therapies using stem cells, drawing faculty from five departments of the medical school and the primate research center. One professor noted there have been many advances in stem cell biology recently and the school hopes they can be transferred into patient care.
