Vietnam plans new skyscraper

An American architect has been hired to design a 891-foot-tall skyscraper that will resemble a lotus flower about to bloom. The $100 million project in Ho Chi Minh City, which is being built by a Vietnamese real estate firm, will be the city's tallest building upon completion in 2007. Eight of the world's 10 tallest skyscrapers are built in Asia, and the tallest skyscraper under development right now is the United Arab Emirates' 2,313-foot Burj Dubai.
