Report: U.S. shops recorded $28.2 billion in revenue in 2006

Posting their best numbers since they began a turnaround four years prior, U.S. marketing-communications shops last year recorded 8.8% growth for $28.2 billion in revenue, according to the 63rd annual Advertising Age Agency Report. Marketing services, with an assist from digital, accounted for much of the growth, rising by 13.1% to $15.1 billion, vs. the traditional segment, which grew 4.2% to $13.1 billion.
