DHS launches new screening technology at Baltimore airport

DHS on Monday began testing a new checkpoint screening system at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The program includes "whole body imaging" machines that show items concealed under a traveler's clothes as well as new X-ray machines that scan carry-ons more efficiently. It also includes improvements aimed at keeping travelers relaxed during the check-in process.
