Asian markets bounce back as investors see signs of hope

After a two-day drop, Asian shares gained today, with investor confidence rising on indications the U.S. economy may be starting to recover. South Korea's Kospi jumped 2.9% and the MSCI index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan advanced 2.3%. Japan's market was closed, and many Asian markets will also be closed Friday.
