China lifts ban on visitors with STD, HIV, leprosy

The Chinese government has removed its bans on visitors with the virus that causes AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases and leprosy. The change comes as Shanghai prepares to host the world exposition. The country continues to ban travelers who have infectious tuberculosis, "infectious diseases which could possibly greatly harm the public health" and serious mental disorders.
