Experts see signs of progress in United-Continental merger talks

Ongoing merger discussions between United Airlines and Continental Airlines are "more relaxed and positive than earlier this week," according to The Wall Street Journal, and ongoing meetings by Continental's board of directors likely indicate that progress is being made. "It clearly indicates they are in pretty advanced stages," says Stifel Nicolaus analyst Hunter Keay. "I wouldn't be surprised if we have an announcement relatively soon."
