Filing: Tribune asks FCC to OK reorganization

Tribune Co., as part of its Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan, has petitioned the FCC to approve the ownership of its 23 TV stations and one radio outlet by the reorganized company. Tribune also wants the FCC to extend its exemptions from cross-ownership restrictions in Chicago, Los Angeles and several other markets for a minimum of 18 months after the end of legal proceedings, should permanent waivers not be granted by the agency.
