NTSB: Air traffic controller missed pilot error in Hudson mishap

An air traffic controller may have missed a critical pilot error before a fatal crash over the Hudson River last year, according to the National Transportation Safety Board. The controller at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey was on the phone taking a personal call while simultaneously monitoring radio transmissions. The controller also read back an incorrect radio frequency to the small plane pilot.
