Why Google won't "like" Facebook's Open Graph plan

Facebook's initiative to disperse its "Like" buttons across the Internet as "social links" could mean trouble for Google, which takes links into account in serving search results. Some are lobbying for an "OpenLike" initiative that will ensure Facebook doesn't own all information on our online behaviors. But, notes Mashable's Pete Cashmore, "Facebook Optimization may be the new [search engine optimization]."
