Fast-food commercials might be a factor in obesity risk

A study involving more than 3,300 participants ages 15 to 23 found that those who were better at recognizing fast-food advertisements shown with the brand name removed were more than twice as likely to be obese compared with those who knew only a few. The finding was presented at the annual meeting of the Pediatric Academic Societies.
