Shell's shift to wet gas will drive down U.S. output this year

Royal Dutch Shell's decision to shift focus to natural gas liquids production will drive down the company's U.S. natural gas output this year, said Simon Henry, the company's chief financial officer. The company, however, expects that its natural gas production will increase in 2013, he said. Shell is expected to achieve higher gas-processing margins with the shift to liquids such as propane.
