Va. county could derail Dulles rail project's $3B second phase

The $3 billion second phase of the Dulles rail project, which would run from Reston, Va., to Dulles International Airport and beyond may be dead. Loudoun County officials have asked for a 30-day extension to consider their financial support of the project due to issues about unionized labor, the project's costs and an investigation by the Department of Transportation’s inspector general concerning management practices, transparency and governance.
