Ad pages are up for lifestyle-oriented food magazines

Going beyond recipes is bearing fruit for food magazines, which are gaining ad pages and capitalizing on lifestyle interest with content about chefs, travel and restaurants. Ad pages at Conde Nast's Bon Appetit were up 38%, for example, and Food Network Magazine booked 34% more, year-over-year, according to the Publishers Information Bureau.
