Australia's brick-and-mortar stores tout "experiences"

Retailers in Melbourne are fighting back against online rivals by upgrading the experiences shoppers will only find at the store. Newly renovated outlet centre Brandsmart is the latest example, with changes that give it a more upscale feel and a new mix of vendors that includes higher-end brands such as Aussie label Sass and Bide.
