Canada high school offers only "academic" maths

A high school in Canada is experimenting with offering only "academic" mathematics instead of applied maths courses. School officials say they want to ensure students have multiple post-secondary options. "We want students to choose their life post-secondary, not default into it," Norah Marsh, education superintendent, said.
