Caterpillar offers new contract for union workers at Wis. plant

Caterpillar has unveiled a new, six-year contract proposal for union workers at its South Milwaukee plant. The contract would curb the wage rate for workers hired after May, and it would raise health care costs. “Wages at the South Milwaukee facility are significantly above market,” the company said.
