FSOC rejects warnings of collateral shortage

The Financial Stability Oversight Council says in an annual report that industry concern of a collateral drought is unfounded. That stance runs counter to other studies, which have projected a collateral shortage ranging from $500 billion to $6 trillion. The U.S. regulator contends that sources such as central banks will rise up to meet demand.
