Improvements give Fla. airport an edge on competitors

Emerald Coast Aviation, the fixed-base operator at Bob Sikes Airport in Florida, is set to begin work on a $600,000 general aviation terminal building. The airport is also equipped with the latest instrument-guided landing technology. Those features, together with the Okaloosa County's recent $11 million infrastructure upgrade, give the airport an edge on its competitors, officials say.
