NBAA rejects bill to close "corporate jet loophole"

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., introduced a bill last week that would close the "corporate jet loophole" by extending the current tax-depreciation schedule for general aviation aircraft from five to seven years. The proposal drew fire from the National Business Aviation Association President and CEO Ed Bolen. "Proposals like this one appear to put politically charged rhetoric ahead of serious policies for addressing the nation's deficit," he said.
