Proposed computing curriculum in England receives early feedback

As officials in England work toward releasing a new computing curriculum, some early feedback indicates concern over a lack of creativity and too great of a focus on computer science. "However, it seems clear that there is a consensus that the computing programme of study needs to have the digital literacy elements strengthened in order to rebalance it, as it's currently too weighted towards computer science," said Peter Twining, a senior lecturer at the Open University.
