Expansion of Ga. HOPE program to cover tuition for top tech students

High-performing students enrolled in Georgia's state technical colleges will receive full paid tuition under a measure recently signed into law. The $11 million Zell Miller Scholar grant fund will supplement the current HOPE assistance program and offer tuition assistance to students in Georgia's Technical College System with at least a 3.5 grade point. "This additional benefit will provide greater access to education, cultivating a highly skilled workforce and helping keep us the No. 1 place in the nation in which to do business," Gov. Nathan Deal said.
