Markets aren't rigged, SEC's White says

The Securities and Exchange Commission is looking into whether high-frequency trading firms have an unfair advantage over other investors, Mary Jo White, head of the agency, told the House Financial Services Committee."It's clearly an issue that we're quite focused on," said White, who rejected claims that HFT hurts retail investors. She added: "The markets are not rigged. ... That's not to say they're perfect."
