Medical boards group approves telemedicine practice guidelines

State guidelines for using telemedicine tools to deliver patient care have been approved by the Federation of State Medical Boards. The guidelines state, among other things, that telemedicine providers should promote a credible doctor-patient relationship to make sure that patients are assessed and treated properly and that medical principles tied to data privacy and other areas are followed.
