Six steps for tackling IT complexity

The increasing digitization of the workplace and a push for greater cross-channel collaboration is adding a new layer of complexity to IT operations that has the potential to disrupt enterprise bottom lines if not properly addressed, experts say. According to Michael Wade, a professor at IMD business school in Switzerland, CIOs can respond by using technology to continually simplify processes and procedures by, among other things, standardizing internal systems, developing priorities and promoting a corporate culture that values simplicity.
