Online Charter Schools Raise Questions In Ohio

The Electronic Classroom of Tomorrow has received $362,000 in monies intended to reduce class sizes in standard schools, a report says, even though the online charter educates students schooled at home. Some critics -- including TRECA, another Ohio online school -- say ECOT should not be receiving classroom reduction money. Some Ohio lawmakers are calling for a moratorium on online charter schools.
