British Nutrition Foundation: It's a misconception that canned foods are unhealthy

While it is often assumed that canned foods are a poor source of vitamins, the British Nutrition Foundation says canned foods are an "economical source of nutrients." H.J. Heinz says its products, including baked beans and canned soups, contain essential nutrients that can be found in fruits and vegetables.
