Some fear vo-tech studies are on the decline

As states refocus their attention on instruction and assessment in core subjects, vocational education is losing funding and students. School administrators say the trend toward requiring vo-tech students to pass college preparatory classes is discouraging some students from enrolling in their programs and creating higher drop-out rates.
