Lott settles Hurricane Katrina claim with State Farm

Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss., has reached a tentative settlement with State Farm. The senator sued State Farm after it declined to pay a claim for wind damage from Hurricane Katrina. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed. "We're pleased that we have reached this tentative settlement, which will avoid lengthy and expensive litigation for both parties," a State Farm spokesman says.
