Court: Music services could be on the hook for $100M in royalties

Under a plan laid out by a federal judge, Yahoo!, Time Warner's AOL and RealNetworks Inc. together could have to pay $100 million in song royalties to ASCAP. The order from U.S. District Judge William C. Conner calls for the three services to pay a 2.5% royalty on revenue from music streams from 2002 through 2009.
