Registered Traveler spreads to more airports, but criticism persists

The Registered Traveler program is spreading to more U.S. airports after experiencing delays. About 93,000 travelers participate in the program, which is designed to allow them to move more quickly through privately run airport security checkpoints. However, some groups, including the Air Transport Association, have voiced opposition to the program for a variety of reasons, including the fact that RT provides no real benefits beyond moving to the front of the line.
