CEO: Publicis faring better in downturn than holding-company rivals

Although Publicis Groupe's first-quarter numbers were down compared with 2008, CEO Maurice Levy believes his company is better positioned to ride out the downturn than its rival holding companies. Among the strengths Levy touts are Publicis' ability to win new clients, its expansion into new markets and its growth in digital assignments.
