Is Mzinga's Barry Libert wrong about CEOs and social?


Fear keeps CEOs from tapping social media, Mzinga CEO Barry Libert told a group of executives at the Milken Global Institute this week. But some SmartBlog on Social Media readers think he's off-base:

"Social Networking or Media needs to better map to the mandate of the CEO. This is profitability, growth, operational efficiency (and in public companies), shareholder value. Plain and simple. Customer experience is in this mix but not as a separate line item in most cases. Most CEOs aren't afraid of anything that helps them achieve their goals. They just need to understand in crisp BUSINESS TERMS, not marketing or social media-speak, how this happens and how it is measured." --Steve Hershberger
