Convenience-store purchases seen as "improving"

Consumers are buying more Hershey, PepsiCo and Coca-Cola products at convenience stores as "customers feel a little better about letting go of some money," said a 7-Eleven executive. Hershey reported convenience-store sales growth of 6% in the first quarter, while the beverage companies say volume declines at convenience stores slowed for the first time in at least a year.
