EU to lift ban on liquids in air passengers' carry-ons

The European Union said it is working to streamline airport security screening policies that have caused confusion and delays for millions of airline passengers. The EU said that by 2013 it will lift its ban on liquids in carry-on luggage. European airports will be required to install checkpoint security technology that can detect liquid explosives.
