Jobless claims decline, suggesting ongoing recovery

Claims for jobless benefits continue to drop, suggesting that the economic recovery in the U.S. may be sustained. The number of workers who received unemployment benefits shrank by 18,000 to 4.65 million in the week ended April 17. "The labor market continues to heal slowly," said Sal Guatieri, a senior economist at BMO Capital Markets.
