Lack of trust takes a hit on productivity, engagement

Studies show trust is declining among employees for their managers and co-workers, which can impact productivity and engagement. Human resources must take steps to stop the downward spiral, experts say. "It sounds trite, but leaders who make a serious effort to communicate to employees and solicit their opinions reap a big payoff in terms of trust and productivity," said Marilyn Nyman, a management-development consultant.
