Parents look to private school for gifted education in Colo. city

Some parents in Boulder, Colo., say there are few options available to gifted students after the school district turned down a request for a gifted charter school and a gifted private school shut down. However, the operators of a Littleton-based gifted private school are considering opening a campus in Boulder. Officials with Mackintosh Academy -- the state's oldest school for gifted students -- say they will hold meetings in Boulder to assess interest in its programs.
