San Francisco prepares $7 billion Hunter's Point redevelopment

San Francisco and homebuilder Lennar have a redevelopment plan, 10 years in the works, to turn a contaminated strip of land on San Francisco Bay into a residential and commercial gem. Plans for a $7 billion complex at Hunter's Point call for 2.7 million square feet of commercial space, 10,500 homes and 1 million more of retail space -- all with sweeping views of the city and the bay.
