Sears marketing executive resigns; company launches search

Sears' senior vice president of marketing, Richard Gerstein, has resigned effective May 7, the Chicago Tribune reports. Gerstein joined the company as chief marketing officer for the Sears Roebuck division in 2007 and was promoted to head marketing efforts for the combined Sears and Kmart operations when then-CMO Maureen McGuire resigned in 2008.
