VA spends more on health care IT than private sector

The Department of Veterans Affairs spends more on health care information technology and has higher adoption rates and better quality of care as a result than the private sector, a report said. The ratio of VA spending on IT to total health care spending was 4.76% from 2001 to 2007, compared with 3.97% in the private sector.
