Banks report more competition for business loans

Banks are seeing greater demand and competition for business lending, according to the Federal Reserve's quarterly survey of senior loan officers. Data show that commercial and industrial loans increased about 15% between March 2011 and April 18. Some banks said they eased credit standards because of increasing competition.
