FAA will embark on rule-making for electric aircraft

The Federal Aviation Administration plans to begin the rule-making process for electric aircraft soon, an official said last week at the CAFE Electric Aircraft Symposium. FAA analyst Tom Gunnarson said the agency has completed a regulatory study on electric aircraft, and the rules should be finished in five to 10 years.
