Labor Dept. vets' programs could move to VA

Veterans' employment and rehab programs currently managed by the Labor Department would be moved to the Veterans Affairs Department under a proposal by the House Veterans' Affairs Committee. According to committee Chairman Jeff Miller, R-Fla., major veterans' groups support the proposal. Some legislators, however, expressed skepticism. "VA has no core competency in creating jobs for veterans," said Rep. Corrine Brown, D-Fla.
