Microsoft eyes tablets with Barnes & Noble Nook stake

Microsoft's $605 million investment in Barnes & Noble's Nook e-reader and college-textbook business could give the software giant a lift in the tablet market when it introduces the Windows 8 platform, a Reuters analysis argues. The agreement will include a Nook application for Windows 8 devices.
