Students in some Ohio school districts now are allowed to bring their own electronic devices to school. Once banned from classrooms, such devices as cellphones, iPods, iPad tablet computers and e-readers are now seen by many educators as valuable classroom resources. Students use the devices to scan homework assignments, take notes and record data, receive texts from teachers, watch teacher-created podcasts and more.
