Study looks at body satisfaction, self-esteem in overweight girls

Overweight teen girls with high body satisfaction were less likely to be depressed or to have unhealthy behaviors than those unsatisfied with their bodies, a U.S. study showed. The findings, which will appear in the Journal of Adolescent Health, suggest that an improvement in body satisfaction could be a key part of intervention programs for overweight youth.
