Ex-Zynga executive unveils social gaming startup

Mike Verdu, former executive at social gaming company Zynga, invested $10 million to form TapZen, a startup social gaming company expected to rival Zynga. TapZen will work with Red Hot Labs to produce online-gaming products specifically for tablet computers. Verdu is the latest of ex-Zynga officials to form companies seeking to grab a share of the market for games on mobile devices.
