Google Now search app comes to iOS devices

Apple's iOS device users now have access to the popular Google Now voice-controlled search application, which some industry observers have compared with the iPhone's Siri personal assistant, although the Google app functions differently by trying to anticipate search requests by popping up "cards" on the screen. The service bases its "answers" on personal data gleaned from mobile apps and Google's PC services.
