Mediterranean diet doesn't reduce cognitive decline in diabetes

A study of 17,000 people living in the 11-state "Stroke Belt" showed that those who ate a Mediterranean-style diet were 13% less likely to have cognitive impairment compared with those who did not adhere to the diet. The study in Neurology found that people with diabetes did not get the cognitive protection from following a Mediterranean diet.
